Frida Kahlo Colors

Inspired by the incomparable patron saint of women artists, Frida Kahlo. Magnificent artist  whose home was casa azul, who graced the cover of vogue Paris with a straight on gaze that went down in history. Also an artist in her personal appearance, bringing indigenous influence from her life to her canvases to her hair and dress. We honour her with these colors calling to mind the vivid lushness of her paintings, pairing them with a pine palette and a Kokom scarf or the 4 colors with a Kokom hair bow. Kokom Scrunchies is an Indigenous youth owned business making hair adornments that help us bring out our inner Frida!

Beautiful to Experience

I have been having fun all evening with this set, you can really feel the intentionality infused within the paint; well crafted. Made a little ghostie with the paper and brush included in the set. Beautiful treat for myself. Grabbed a a color for a friend also. Now to fight the urge to go back and grab some more. I made at least 30 colors with this set, I want the gentle gold shade badly so I will eventually need to make another purchase. I saw these larger slices with the gold in them, I hope one day those become available so beautiful.

So Much Color!

Beautiful, rich colors for the watercolors. I like how they are presented. Really fun. I will buy more from Beam paints in the future.
The scarf is definitely bright. The stitching and fabric of the scarf looks a little cheap. I'm not sure of the quality.
